Shea Butter Baby is a collection that celebrates the beauty, uniqueness, and excellence of the black woman! Named after the hit song “Shea Butter Baby” by Ari Lennox, and promoting the same message, it’s meant to empower and encourage black women to be proud of who and what they are. Additionally, this is a befitting title because of what shea butter is and where it is derived from.
The shea tree is naturally unique to Africa, shea butter is a fatty substance obtained from the nuts of the shea tree. It organically contains anti-aging properties that have the ability to heal dry and damaged skin, improve elasticity, and protect us from the sun. Because of its sought after benefits, it is one of the most popular ingredients in beauty products. Like shea butter, our cultural influence can be seen throughout the world in the fashion industry, music, beauty, holistic healthcare... and the list goes on. Often imitated, but never duplicated…You are magic!
